Meet Cynthia Nana Aba Benyah, CEO of Crysy Couture GH

On our #GAJWCW feature for this week, Cynthia Nana Aba Benyah, Chief Executive Officer of Crysy Couture GH talked about her career journey and her contributions to society with her skills.

Cynthia Nana Aba Benyah is the CEO of Crysy Couture GH, a fashion brand that specializes in All types of female wear- traditional, bridal, corporate, and casual, among others and has been in the fashion industry for about 12 years.

For her tertiary education, Cynthia attended Accra Technical University, formerly Accra Polytechnic where she studied Marketing but later switched to Fashion and studied Advanced Fashion.

Crysy Couture GH over the years has recruited apprentices and a number of them successfully graduated after the required years. She also gives opportunities to students from various fashion and vocational schools for their attachment and internships.

She has also assisted some less privileged young ladies who were willing to learn the fashion skill for some duration and has been beneficial to them.

Cynthia initially wanted to become a lawyer or criminologist but somehow found joy in fashion instead.

“My passion was never fashion. I have a passion for law. I had always wanted to be a lawyer or criminologist. Fashion was birth out of curiosity and my interest and passion in it grew in a matter of months and now into years.

In the early stages of my fashion career, I discovered the profound joy of nurturing and supporting young ladies in acquiring fashion skills. And witnessing their growth and empowerment has been one of the most fulfilling aspects of my journey.”

She also added that works are in place to start short classes for fashion for students.

She advised emerging talents to be “rooted in staying true to oneself, continuous self-development, and embracing opportunities to share knowledge. I advocate for wearing your brand proudly, investing in your image to market your craft effectively, and seeking the right market for your business” she stated.

Cynthia in the long-term wants to venture into ready-to-wear collections, making high-quality apparel accessible and affordable for every pocket.
